REPORT OF THE 19TH GDEu ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN HAMBURG 8TH OCTOBER 2023
This was the message sent from the president of GaDangme Europe(GDEu) at this year’s 19th annual general conference held on the 8th of October 2023 in Hamburg Germany.
The program was rescheduled from Friday to Sunday due to some circumstances which couldn’t be avoided. The visa requested for our guests from Ghana was delayed hence.
After the opening prayers, introduction of associations and individual members. The agenda for the day was read by the general secretary Naadiatu-Bagigah Bawah
The president Mr. Alex Adjei took his sit to address many of the problems the association is facing and also how these can be avoided for the association to concentrate on the good work it`s been doing in the past.
As this is the first face-to-face meeting after the Covid 19, reports on work done during and after the outbreak were also read.
The GaDangme Europe Ga Quiz both the first and second editions was also discussed, likewise the Hospital equipments donated to the Asesewa hospital.
GDEu collaborated with the Bokemei Foundation to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the school at Tebibiiano Teshie in Ghana.
The general secretary Naadiatu-Bagigah Bawah gave a detailed review of how the above-mentioned were projected and executed.
The President introduced the single project for this year which is the Great Ningo Sanitation Project and was adopted by members present.
The GDEu will collaborate with the Ningo Traditional Council to construct 12 Seater place of convenience (WC) for the Great Ningo Senior High School.
A fundraising was launched to that effect and below are the pledges and payments made on the very day.
- Madam Peggy Adamafio Gave $200.00 for the project
- Naa Mannye Odofeley Akumatu Wornor I (Osu AshInte Noryaa Manye) gave £100.00 which is Ghs1,400.00
- Abongobi Media $300
- GaDangme Cultural Switzerland $200
Nii Kofi Agboba V, Osu Alata Nefahene, member of the Trustee and also the advisory board of the association thank members for their hard work and encourage them to keep that spirit and fire burning for GaDangme all the time anywhere they go.
Naa Mannye Odofeley Akumatu Wornor I advise that we as GaDangme´s continue to stick together as one.
She is also most interested in the Great Ningo Government School Project and that she will
render her support in any way she can.

The next meeting would be held in Hamburg next year 2024
